Pretty in purple!

So one of my resolutions this year is to step outside of my comfort zone! This is in all situations...socially, actively and especially the way I dress. Soo I won't play it so safe anymore. Here are some pants I bought from work last year but I have a true appreciation for them now and can't wait to buy them in paradise red and sunset gold! These are the "slimmy" in purple mist...aren't they groovy!?

Black Bean and Mango Salsa

So...if anyone knows me, they'll know that I am the world's worst cook! I try so hard and it never gives. The last time I tried to cook was when I attempted to make beignets. Let's just say that I ended up hiding the fire detector under my comforter and they looked like dog biscuits. Well I attempted to cook again last night for a birthday at work and omgee it was a success! I've discovered that I can cook...as long as no fire is involved!

A few of my favorite things :)

Rachel's 2012 Resolutions

I'm 25! and guess what you are old too!  To someone.  and let's face it, we all are not getting any younger. But getting older is amazing in so many ways...so let's embrace it. Life is too short and there are about 93845704 things I want to accomplish out there but I chose 5 of the most important goals I want to reach this year:

1.  Get in a regular workout routine + (freakin') TONE UP + make my peter & floyyd disappear
2.  Learn graphic + web design (cheaply)
3.  Run a half marathon (Bridal Motivation!)
4.  Read Gone With The Wind (finally...)
5.  Be happy no matter who or what shit's (excuse my french) on my parade!

To a happy, skinny and successful 2012! CHEERS! :)

Save The Dates

So, no one ever tells us girls that wedding planning is a, excuse me, pain in the ASS!  Well, it's not that it's exactly a pain, it can just get extremely overwhelming.  I'm all about options, but when it comes to a wedding, there are just way too many options out there.  And for an indecisive person, options doesn't make life easy.  However,  I'm doing a lot of reading and research and luckily for me, I have amazing family and friends to help me out.  The save the dates were/are/almost a success.  I wanted to learn graphic design and after seeing design after design on website after website, I thought... "I can do this".  And I wanted to.  So, I hooked up with a graphic designer in the area and she taught me a few basics and how-to's of Indesign.  I'm still learning but I am very happy with my save the date design.  It is all me and my heart! (and sweat...and blood...)
